The European Take-Out Band has grown from German, Slovenian, International, and Norwegian roots.  While the European Take-Out Band is about ten years old, members have been entertaining audiences at private parties, Oktoberfests, and other music venues for several years.  European Take-Out Band experience includes Oktoberfests, Portland Scanfair, private parties, benefit concerts, and Retirement homes.

Our Illustrious Band Members:

Terry:  ETO leader and founder. Performing in Oktoberfest bands for 40 years. Teaches easy folk dances to our music for all ages.

Roxi:  ETO’s Band manager and resident chanteuse. She has been immersed in music most of her life. Her father played French horn professionally in the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera and many other venues. In Elementary school, she started singing as a soloist in church, continuing with choir throughout school. Music aspirations paused while raising her family. She caught the music bug again when introduced to Karaoke & competitions, which led to running her own karaoke hosting business with her husband for 17 years. She joined an eclectic rock band, which led to her being introduced to the original ETO Trio and invited to join them as their vocalist.

Roxi’s enjoyment of performing is unmistakable as she gives her all to engage the audience.

Bobbie:  Bobbie was born with a polka in her veins. Her Slovenian parents took her to Yankovic dances in Northern Illinois as a child. She’s been playing the accordion since she was six years old.

During many years of working and raising children, she abandoned the accordion until a few years ago. Thank goodness for music! Her retirement years have been filled with rewarding music events, gigs with ETO and sharing this love with others.

Lisa: She enjoys playing with other people. She and her duet partner have played in competitions in Kimberley Canada, and in Leavenworth Washington. They played in the orchestra in Kimberley under Beverly Fess.  Lisa played in Eileen Hagens Accordion Ensemble and bands in Vancouver WA. Now Lisa enjoys playing in the European Take out band .

Marlene:

Kurt: Bass and guitar player has played in many rock, blues, and R & B groups over the last 50 years.

Dennis: For over 50 years, Dennis has played percussion and drums for musical theatre, big bands, jazz combos, orchestras and marching bands throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Scott: A lifelong Portland resident who has played drums in various polka bands for over 30 years.
